The government has fixed Taka 683,018 for every pilgrim from Bangladesh to perform Hajj this year. The cost has increased by Taka 161,868 from last year.
There is only one package this year. There were two Hajj packages last year.
The Hajj package of Taka 683,018 was fixed at a meeting of the executive committee on Hajj management on Wednesday (February 1). The meeting was chaired by State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan.
Hajj-2023 will be held on 9th day of Zillhajj (June 28) depending on moon sighting.
The government signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia over hajj on January 9. According to the agreement, 127,198 people will be able to go to Hajj this year.
A total of 15,000 people under government management and 112, 198 people will be able to go to perform Hajj this year under the private management. There is no age restriction for the Hajj pilgrims this year.
