At least six people were killed and ten people injured in a collision between a bus and a truck on the Dhaka-Mawa expressway on Thursday morning.
According to Highway police OC Mollah Zakir Hossain, the accident occurred around 9am Thursday when the Shariatpur-bound Padma Travels bus collided with a broken-down truck from behind in the Bejgao area of Sreenagar upazila of Munshiganj.
The identities of the victims were not immediately known.
Eyewitnesses said a bus of Padma Express lost control on the Dhak-Mawa expressway and hit a truck from behind while it was trying to overtake another bus. Then one side of the bus got twisted.
Fire Service members rushed to the spot and recovered six bodies from the scene. All the injured were brought to the Sreenagar Upazila Health Complex
