Chief of Bangladesh Army General SM Shafiudin Ahmed left Dhaka on Wednesday on a three-day official visit to India.
The army chief will participate in a parade salute as the chief guest at the passing-out ceremony of commissioned officers at the Commissioned Officers Training Academy in Chennai, according to an Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) press release.
He will meet the chiefs of army, navy, air force, chief of defense staff, defense secretary, foreign secretary and other high officials concerned.
Gen Shafiuddin will also visit the important establishments of the Indian army.
He will discuss the development of the bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries.
The Army chief will eturn home on April 30.
