The ruling Awami League (AL) on Monday permanently expelled former general secretary of the party's Gazipur city unit Mohammad Jahangir Alam.
Office Secretary of the Awami League Barrister Biplob Barua issued the statement in this regard in the afternoon, reports BSS.
Awami League expelled Jahangir Alam permanently as per the party's central committee constitution.
The decision will come in effect immediately.
