A passenger carrying waterbus capsized near Telghat area of Keraniganj on Sunday night in the Buriganga river.
Duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Rafi Al Farook confirmed the incident, saying that the waterbus capsized around 8.15pm, reports BSS.
Three divers of a fire service diving team are combing the river to rescue survivors, he said, adding that the cause of sinking, number of passengers and casualties are yet to be known.
