“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country”, said a met office forecast on Sunday for the next 24 hours, reports BSS.

The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across the central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded by 34.5 degree celsius at Rajshahi and minimum temperature on Sunday was recorded by 24.5 degree celsius jointly at Nikli, Sitakunda and Bandarban.
Country’s maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am on Sunday was recorded by 186 millimeters (mm) at Bandarban.
