The price of gold has hit an all-time high of Tk 101,243 per bhori (11.664 gram), with the most recent price hike of Tk 2,216 per bhori.
It is the highest-ever price of gold in the country’s history.
In a press statement on Thursday, the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (Bajus) stated that the price hiked following a price increase in the local bullion market.
The new rate will be effective from Friday, the release added.
