Four members of the same family were killed when the mud wall of the house collapsed in the Panirchhara area of the Hnila union in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar. Police confirmed the death toll.
The accident took place at Moulvibazar area of the Hnila union of the upazila around 2:00 am on Friday.
The deceased are - Anwara Begum, 50, her son Shahidul Mostafa, 20, daughter Nilufa Yasmin, 15, and Sadia, 11, of Moricha Ghana area of Moulvibazar of Hnila union.
Confirming the incident, Teknaf Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Osman Gani, said four bodies were recovered from the spot. Hnila Union Parishad Chairman Rashed Mohammad Ali said the mud wall of their house collapsed due to the incessant rain since Thursday morning.
