2 killed in Jhenaidah truck-CNG collision

Two people have been killed in a clash between a truck and a CNG in Maheshpur, Jhenaidah. This accident has left six more injured in the Valaipur area of Maheshpur-Khalishpur road this morning.

The OC of Maheshpur Police Station, Mahbubur Rahman, and local journalist Saiful Islam have confirmed this development. 

They informed that several passengers were traveling from Maheshpur to Khalishpur via CNG. On the spot, there was a collision between a CNG and a truck coming from the opposite direction. 

The truck hit the three-wheeler and pushed it a considerable distance before overturning by the side of the road. The three-wheeler was completely damaged.  

Two people died at the scene, identified as Kashem Mia from Pantapara and Alomgir Hossain from Ghugri village. In addition, six others were injured and were rescued to Maheshpur Upazila Health Complex. 

The driver of the three-wheeler was transferred to Jessore 250-bed Hospital. The police have seized the truck immediately after the accident, but the driver is still at large.
