Thai PM greets Sheikh Hasina

Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Srettha Thavisin has congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on her reelection as prime minister.

In a greeting letter sent to Sheikh Hasina, the Thai Premier wrote, "On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I have the honour to extend my sincere congratulations on Your astounding success and re-election as Prime Minister of Bangladesh for a fifth term."

Mentioning that Thailand and Bangladesh have enjoyed warm and cordial relations for the past five decades, he said, "Our bilateral ties have both expanded and deepened in various sectors, especially in trade and investment, people-to-people connectivity and sustainable development, through bilateral, regional and multilateral frameworks." 

He continued, "I am confident that our bilateral relations will continue to be further strengthened under your leadership for the mutual benefit of our two countries and peoples in the years ahead."

"I look forward to working closely with you to further enhance our cooperation," he said.

Srettha Thavisin wished Sheikh Hasina's good health and every success in her noble endeavours as well as for the continued peace and prosperity of Bangladesh and people.
