Quader said BNP feels comfortable for lodging complaints to foreigners instead of complaining to the people.

He said the general election was held braving many difficulties as there were various domestic and foreign conspiracies to thwart the election. But Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina did not fear anyone, the minister added.

"Sheikh Hasina faced the plot with courage and determination and thus she has taken herself to unique height as the longest-serving female Prime Minister in the world," Quader said.

About the party's decision over the upcoming upazila elections, the AL general secretary said this time the AL will not giving any nominations from the party in the polls as well as the boat symbol will not be given to anyone.

Everything will remain open for all, he added.

The Road Transport and Bridges minister said the Dhaka-Chattogram highway will be upgraded to six-lane with two service lanes on both sides. The government is also considering turning the highway into an elevated expressway in the near future, he added.
