Four arrestees placed on 2-day remand

A Dhaka court today placed four arrested people on a two-day remand in a case filed in connection with the devastating fire in the capital’s Bailey Road area.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Nurul Huda passed the order.

Inspector Ansar Milton of Ramna police station, also the investigation officer of the case, produced them before the court with 7-day remand prayers.  

Utpaul Barua, officer-in-charge of Ramna police station, confirmed the matter on Saturday.

Police filed the case with the Ramna police station on Friday night bringing an allegation of negligence and were shown the four people arrested in the case.

Meanwhile, according to the information given by the fire service and in the documents sent to the notice, the signature of Captain Sardar Mizanur Rahman (retd), managing director of Ambrosia Restaurant and Music Cafe, was found on behalf of the Green Cozy Cottage.

Police on Saturday detained the manager of the Green Cozy Cottage building in connection with the fire.
