Heat wave: Schools to remain shut till April 27

In response to the ongoing heatwave, the government has decided to keep all public and private schools -both primary and secondary -closed from April 21 to 27 April.

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education announced the decision in separate press releases today.

The announcement follows the scheduled reopening of educational institutions in the country tomorrow (21 April) after Eid holidays. 

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education specified that this closure applies to all government primary schools, child welfare trust schools, and non-formal education bureau learning centers till 27 April.

Similarly, the DSHE's press release directed the closure of all public and private educational institutions under its jurisdiction for the same period.
