A large number of scholars (Aalim-ulama) and the general public have gathered at the Sohrawardy Udyan in the capital to attend the previously announced Islamic Grand Conference. They began assembling at the venue from early morning on Tuesday.
The conference will be held from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and will focus on the objectives of Dawa and Tabligh (inviting to Islam), Madrasah-e-Qoumiya (Qoumi madrasas), and protecting the religion.
Earlier, on Sunday, a statement was sent to the media inviting the country's Islamic scholars and the wider public to participate in the grand conference. The statement called on scholars from all levels and the commoners to join the event.
The statement emphasized that the conference will be held by Ulama Mashaykh Bangladesh and will commence at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, with a focus on Dawa and Tabligh, Madrasah-e-Qoumiya, and the protection of Islam.
Among the prominent scholars who issued the call for the conference are: Allama Shah Mohibullah Babunagari, Allama Khalil Ahmad Qasemi, Allama Abdul Hamid, Allama Abdul Rahman Hafizji, Allama Nurul Islam, Mawlana Obaidullah Faruq, Mawlana Rashidur Rahman, Allama Sheikh Ziauddin, Allama Sheikh Sajidur Rahman, Allama Abdul Quddus, Allama Nurul Islam Olipuri, Mawlana Mahfuzul Haq, Mawlana Abu Taher Nadvi, Mawlana Arshad Rahmani, Mawlana Salahuddin Nanupuri, Mawlana Mustak Ahmad, Principal Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, Mawlana Anwarul Kareem, Mawlana Mufti Mohammad Ali, Mawlana Mufti Mansurul Haq, Mawlana Mufti Delwar Hossain, Mawlana Zafar Ahmad, Mawlana Junaid Al Habib, Mawlana Manzurul Islam Afendi, Mawlana Bahuddin Zakariya, Mawlana Abdul Awwal.
