A fire broke out at a branch of Kacchi Bhai restaurant on the first floor of a six-storey commercial building on Baily Road in Dhaka tonight.
Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) headquarters media cell, said the ablaze began in ‘Kacchi Bhai Restaurant’ on Bailey Road 8: 50 pm.
On information, eight firefighting units from several stations rushed to the spot and were trying to bring the flame under control, he said. Two more units have joinedd since then.
The fire official said a few people were still stuck inside the building. The cause behind the fire is yet to be known. No casualties were reported immediately.
