The deadline for registering for the Hajj pilgrimage in 2025 has been extended. Pilgrims intending to perform Hajj can now register until December 15, 2024.
Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Md. Rafiqul Islam, confirmed this information to the media on Thursday (November 28).
So far, a total of 39,758 pilgrims have completed their registration, including 4,369 under the government management and 35,389 under private management.
The official notice regarding the extension states that, for the convenience of pilgrims, Hajj agencies, banks involved in Hajj operations, and other stakeholders, the registration deadline for both government and private management has been extended until December 15, 2024.
During this period, prospective pilgrims can make a preliminary registration by depositing BDT 300,000. Pilgrims are also requested to complete their final registration by paying the full amount of the Hajj package within this timeframe.
It is important to note that no further extensions will be granted beyond this deadline.
