The Bangladesh Nepal Friendship Society (BNFS) successfully hosted its annual Eid Reunion Program 2025 on Friday at the Serenity Banquet Hall, Ascott Residence Hotel, in the Baridhara Diplomatic Zone, Dhaka.
The event was graced by His Excellency Mr. Ghanshyam Bhandari, Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest. In his address, His Excellency emphasized the strong and historic ties between Bangladesh and Nepal, and highlighted the importance of people-to-people connections in enhancing bilateral cooperation, according to a press statement.
The program was presided over by Lion Moshiur Ahmmed, President of BNFS, who warmly welcomed all attendees and reaffirmed the Society’s mission to strengthen friendship and understanding between the two neighboring nations.
A number of distinguished guests were present, including Ms. Lalita Silwal, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Nepal, along with other diplomats from the Nepalese Embassy, diplomatic friends from various missions in Dhaka, Mr.Uttam Kumar Shahi Director of the BIMSTEC Secretariat, and Mr. Bharat Raj Gautam, UNICEF, Dhaka. Their participation added further depth to the evening’s spirit of international and regional camaraderie, it reads.
Also in attendance were BNFS members, civil society leaders, academics, and professionals, all coming together to celebrate Eid and the enduring friendship between Bangladesh and Nepal.
Salauddin Kutu, General Secretary of BNFS, expressed heartfelt appreciation to all attendees for their gracious presence and support in making the event a success.
The Eid Reunion 2025 stood as a meaningful platform for dialogue, cultural exchange, and celebration—reinforcing the shared values and mutual respect that unite Bangladesh and Nepal.
