The Taliban has announced new instructions stating that the Sharia law is being violated. The Taliban have decided to cut off the heads of all mannequins or dolls kept in clothing stores in the country's Herat state. Russia's state news agency, Sputnik mentioned in a report quoting the Afghan media.
The Talibans have recently that the use of dolls is a violation of Sharia law.
The Afghanistan's Ministry of Virtue and Sin Prevention has initially ordered the removal of all dolls from all shops located in Herat. But traders complained that their business is already going through a hard time. In reply to this, the Taliban announced to behead the mannequins.
Afghanistan's Islamic authoritie’s head of the ministry Sheikh Aziz-u-Rahman announced these as “sculptures".
According to the traders of Herat, cutting off the heads of the mannequins will hamper their business.
After the Taliban took power in Afghanistan, listening to music in cars, women walking alone, and appearing on TV without a burqa have been strictly banned.
